ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team is home this weekend as the Bulldogs play their first home matches of the 2013 spring season.

Asheville hosts Appalachian State Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., followed by a match with Mars Hill on Sunday at 3 p.m.  The Bulldogs play their home matches at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown and admission is free.

Asheville (0-1) opened the season with a tough 4-3 loss at Wofford Tuesday afternoon.  The Bulldogs picked up impressive singles wins from Adrien Langeard, Daniel Kripak and John Schubel on Tuesday. Schubel won in three sets against the Terriers.

The Mountaineers edged the Bulldogs in Boone last season 4-3. ASU is 1-4 on the season after defeating Tennessee Tech earlier this week, 4-3. Mars Hill is scheduled to open the season Saturday against Limestone before coming to Asheville to take on the Bulldogs. The Blue & White downed the Lions last season, 7-0.
