Ferriss Roberts Club Team Wins National Championship

CHICAGO - UNC Asheville women's soccer player Ferriss Roberts will enter her senior year next month on a high after helping her club team win a national championship this past weekend.

 

Roberts was a key player  for the Kansas City Dynamos U23 club team that captured the USASA National Cup Championship at Toyota Park in Chicago on Sunday.

 

The Dynamos, led by a goal from Roberts, defeated Louisiana United 13-0 in the semifinals on Saturday. In the championship game on Sunday, Kansas City routed FC Milwaukee, 5-1 to take home the national championship.

 

Roberts enjoyed a standout junior year for the Bulldogs in 2011. She finished tied for second in goals scored with five and was fourth in points with 12.
