Women's Soccer Falls to Tennessee Tech, 4-1

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Jacquie Watkins scored two goals to lead Tennessee Tech to a 4-1 non-conference victory over UNC Asheville Sunday afternoon at Greenwood Field.
The Bulldogs (0-2-0) picked up a goal from freshman Kaitlyn Eckert in the second half to avoid the shutout. She scored on a penalty kick at 67:09.
TTU (2-2-0) took control of the game with three goals in the first half. Three different Golden Eagles in the opening half.
Keri Reid opened the scoring when she scored on a header at 11:39. Watkins tallied her first goal at 19:50 on a breakaway.
Taylor Hicks scored the final goal of the half for the Golden Eagles when her corner kick sailed into the goal for a 3-0 margin.
Watkins tallied her second goal at 50:21 to push the lead to 4-0.
The Bulldogs host Eastern Kentucky Friday afternoon at Greenwood Field starting at 4:30 p.m.
