Women's Soccer to Host Tennessee Tech Sunday at 2 p.m.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's soccer team looks to win its first match of the season Sunday afternoon when the Bulldogs host Tennessee Tech at Greenwood Field starting at 2 p.m. The match will be video-streamed and can be seen for a small fee at www.uncabulldogs.com under the multi-media section.
Asheville (0-1-0) fell at Davidson last Saturday night, 8-1. The Bulldogs trailed 2-0 at halftime but cut the lead to 2-1 early in the second half as freshman Amanda Dailor tallied her first career goal.
But the floodgates opened after that goal as the Wildcats scored the next six goals of the match to win going away.
The Bulldogs battled the Golden Eagles tough last season in Cookeville before falling, 3-1. Ferriss Roberts scored her first career goal in that match.
This will be the first of two consecutive home matches Asheville will play against Ohio Valley Conference teams. The Bulldogs will take on Eastern Kentucky this Friday at 4:30 p.m.
