Women's Soccer Hosts Lees-McRae on Monday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's soccer team will play its only exhibition match of the 2011 season when the Bulldogs host Lees-McRae at Greenwood Field Monday afternoon starting at 4 p.m. Admission is free.
Asheville, under the direction of second-year coach Michelle Demko, has been working hard in the pre-season and anxious to improve on last season's 1-16-0 record from 2010.
"We are way ahead of where we were last year at this time," commented Demko. "I think it's a great time for us to have a match. We're anxious to see how we're developing and a match against a good opponent should show us what we need to work on."
The Bulldogs will open the 2011 season this Saturday when they travel to Davidson for a match at 7 p.m. Asheville's home opener will take place on Aug. 28 when the Bulldogs host Tennessee Tech starting at 2 p.m.
