Jordan Lurie Honored in Summer League

HOLLY SPRINGS - The Coastal Plain League announced Tuesday that Gastonia's Jordan Lurie was named the Rawlings Hitter of the Week, for the week of July 19 through July 25.

Lurie, a rising senior at UNC Asheville, started all five games for the Grizzlies and finished with a .600 average. The infielder had 12 hits, including a pair of doubles, while tallying four RBIs and a league-best nine runs scored on the week. Lurie racked up 14 total bases and had a slugging percentage of .700 and an on-base percentage of .680 - another league-high. He also was walked five times and was 5-for-5 on stolen base attempts.
