ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville baseball team gets back in action Tuesday evening when the Bulldogs travel to East Tennessee for a game with the Buccaneers at Cardinal Park starting at 7 p.m.

Asheville (15-25, 7-11 BSC) has been off more than a week for exams. The Bulldogs entered exams with a four-game losing streak after getting swept in a Big South Conference series by Radford (April 22-23). Tuesday's game starts a nine-game road trip for the Bulldogs as Asheville will travel to Liberty for a key BSC series starting on Thursday night.

"I hope we're ready to play well in the final part of the season," commented second-year head coach Tom Smith. "We didn't do a real good job right before exams and that was disappointing. We've got some work to do here as we need to build some momentum toward the Big South Conference Tournament."

The Bulldogs face an ETSU team that has won five games in a row and brings a 27-15 record into Tuesday night's contest. The Bucs downed Asheville, 13-5 back on March 3 at Greenwood Field.

NOTES ON THE BULLDOGS
