Men's Tennis Outlasts Charlotte, 5-1

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team picked up a big non-conference victory by out-lasting Charlotte, 5-1 Friday afternoon at Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.
The Bulldogs (5-4) won the doubles point thanks to victories at the second and third flight. Nicolai Nobbenbroich and Nathan White won at #2 as they defeated Anthony Davison and Krystoph Kwasniewicz of Charlotte, 8-4. Thomas Rees and Adrien Langeard put Asheville in front, 1-0 with an 8-6 victory over Michael Anders and Alex Weber at #3 flight.
In singles action, the Bulldogs won two of their four matches in three sets. Langeard went to a third set before getting past Charles Martin-Lecamp, 6-4, 6-7, 6-1. White then rallied passed Victor Theorin, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
Nonnenbroich downed Michael Anders, 6-3, 6-3 and Matt Waissen outlasted Davison, 7-6 (10-8), 6-2.
