Men's Tennis Downs Lees-McRae, 5-2

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team picked up another victory on Saturday as the Bulldogs downed visiting Lees-McRae 5-2 at the Crowne Plaza Tennis Center.
Asheville earned the doubles point with three victories and then won four singles match to knock off the Bobcats. Lees-McRae had won three straight times over the Bulldogs each time winning by 4-3 scores.
But that wouldn't happen on this day. Matt Waissen andJonas Brobeck defeated Travis VanHoy and Pedro De Sousa Nunes in flight number one, 8-4. At flight number 2, Nathan White and Nicolai Nonnenbroich teamed up to down Skylar Warren and Alexander Hayes, 8-5 to clinch the doubles point.
In singles action, victories from Adrien Langeard, Brobeck, Waissen and White gave Asheville five points and the victory. The win improved the Bulldogs record to 6-4.
Asheville hosts Georgia State on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. The Panthers are coached by former Bulldog head coach Chase Hodges.
