ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Stephanie Schon remained unbeaten in singles action but a short-handed UNC Asheville women's tennis team fell to Appalachian State on Saturday, 6-1 at the Crowne Plaza Tennis Center.
Schon, playing at #3 flight, easily defeated Jessica Thaggard of ASU, 6-0, 6-2. She is now 5-0 on the season in singles. The Bulldogs had to concede the #6 flight and then had to concede at #2 when Devon Cavanaugh could not play anymore due to an injury.
