ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's soccer team is home Sunday afternoon when the Bulldogs host Francis Marion at Greenwood Field starting at 2 p.m.
Sunday's match will be video-streamed and can be seen for a small fee at www.uncabulldogs.com under the multi-media tab.
Asheville (0-6-0) is searching for its first victory of the season, while the Patriots (2-7-1) are coming off a 1-1 tie at Western Carolina Friday evening.
The Bulldogs are making strides as they narrowly lost to Wofford last Sunday 3-2 in a match Asheville led 2-1 midway through the second half. Asheville stunned Southern Conference power Furman with an early goal Wednesday night to lead 1-0 before the Paladins rallied for a 4-1 win. The Bulldogs fired 20 shots in the match.
Sophomore striker Chole McCleary-Small has posted a goal in two assists in the last two matches.
Sunday's match starts a four-game homestand for the Bulldogs. They'll play host to South Carolina next Sunday (Sept. 26) also at 2 p.m.
