Bulldogs Fall to Asheville Tourists in Exhibition Game

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Class A Asheville Tourists scored eight runs in the first inning en route to an 18-2 exhibition game victory over UNC Asheville Tuesday night before a crowd of close to 1,000 at McCormick Field.
The Bulldogs had seven hits in the game against the professional pitching of the Tourists. Asheville scored a run in both the second and eighth innings. Catlin Carter led the Bulldogs at the plate with two hits. He scored one of the Bulldogs runs.
Michael Zuanich led the Tourists at the plate with two home runs and four RBI.
Asheville is on the road this weekend for a key Big South Conference series at Presbyterian College. The series starts on Friday at 3 p.m. The Bulldogs next home game will be with USC Upstate on Wednesday (April 14) vs. USC Upstate at McCormick Field starting at 1 p.m.
