Women's Tennis Wins First Match of the Year, 7-0

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team won its first match of the year in convincing fashion with a 7-0 triumph over visiting Brevard College in a match that was held at the Crowne Plaza Tennis Center Sunday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (1-1) dominated the match from start to finish. Asheville easily won the doubles point and then won each singles match in straight sets. Nicole Schon, Louise Bottomley and Sarah Brinkley did not lose a game in their match.
Asheville is on the road again on Wednesday afternoon when the Bulldogs play at Western Carolina starting at 2 p.m.
