Women's Tennis Drops Match Against Winthrop

ROCK HILL, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team was
defeated 7-0 by Winthrop Saturday at the Memorial Courts in both teams'
Big South regular season finale.
Winthrop won all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
In singles, the Eagles swept all six matches to secure the overall victory.
The loss drops Asheville to 11-8 on the season and 3-4 in the Big South, while Winthrop moves to 12-8 and 7-0.
Asheville earns the fifth seed in the Big South Championships at Winthrop and will face fourth seeded Coastal Carolina April 16 at 9 a.m.
The Bulldogs wrap up their regular season Monday against Lees-McRae at the Asheville School. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
