Coastal Carolina Holds Off Bulldogs 75-70

ASHEVILLE, N.C. ? Amanda Stull scored a career-high 25 points to lead Coastal Carolina to a 75-70 Big South Conference road victory over UNC Asheville Monday night at Justice Center.
The Bulldogs (8-15, 5-5 BSC) were led by Ana Baker with 20 points. Freshman guard Lindsey Thompson pumped in 15 points. Thompson was 5-of-10 from the three-point line. Chioma Okoli added 10 points.
The Chanticleers (13-10, 5-5 BSC) got 16 points from Sydnei Moss and 10 from Jessica Noll.

The game was tied 22-22 midway through the first half when Stull scored eight points in a minute span to give the visitors the lead for good at 30-25.
Stull scored six points in a 45-second span late in the half to give CCU a 44-33 lead before the Chanticleers settled for the nine-point lead at halftime.
In the second half, both teams cooled off, but Stull sank a long three-pointer at the 13-minute mark to extend Coastal Carolina's lead to 58-43.
The Bulldogs tried to rally and closed to seven at 63-56 with
Baker hit three long three-pointers in the final minute of play to help close the gap. After struggling from the free throw line for most of the second half, Coastal Carolina hit its last seven free throws of the game to keep the Bulldogs at bay.
