Liberty Outlasts the Bulldogs, 77-41

Both
teams struggled shot under 40-percent from the field in the first
half. The Bulldogs shot 30-percent (9-of-30) in the half while
the Flames were at 36-percent (9-of-25). The half was marred by
turnovers from both teams. Asheville gave the ball up 16 times
and Liberty turned it over 11 times.
With
The Flames came out on fire in the second half as they hit 50-percent (15-of-30) of their field goals. The Bulldogs only shot 27-percent (7-of-26) from the field as the Liberty outscored them 45-21 in the half.
Liberty also went 26-of-31 from the foul line in the game. UNC Asheville was 6-of-17 from the charity stripe.
The win is Liberty's 16th straight and improves the Flames' overall record to 19-7 overal and 13-0 in the Big South.
Both
teams return to action on Monday at 7 p.m. UNC Asheville stays on
the road for a game at Radford, while Liberty hosts Presbyterian in the
Vines Center.
