WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ? No. 26 Wake Forest registered a 7-0 win against UNC Asheville at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday morning.

UNC Asheville's doubles pairing of Mauricio Correa and Jonas Brobeck picked up a 7-6 victory against Wake Forest's Andrew Brasseaux and Joost Vogel.

In singles action, freshman Nicolai Nonnebroich hung tough in his dual match debut against Wake Forest's Jon Wolff.  Wolff defeated Nonnebroich 3-6, 6-2, 6-0.

“I was pleased with what I saw from our guys,” said assistant coach Tom Hand. “It was a lot of our players' first dual match, so it obviously wasn't an easy debut to go into a place like Wake Forest. We still competed hard and put in some good performances.

The Bulldogs' next match is against East Carolina on Jan. 31 at the Asheville Racquet Club at 5 p.m.
