Busha's Goal Gives Women's Soccer 1-0 Victory at Winthrop

ROCK HILL, S.C. ? Robyn Busha scored early in the second overtime period to give UNC Asheville a 1-0 Big South Conference road victory over Winthrop Saturday night.
The win was the Bulldogs (4-6-1, 2-0-0 BSC) fourth in their last five matches. It was Asheville's second consecutive overtime victory.
The Bulldogs out-shot the Eagles, 18-14. Asheville goalkeeper Veronica Lazar earned the shutout for the Bulldogs. It was her second shutout of the season.
The winning goal came in the 102nd minute. Sophomore Lindsey Bragg sent a cross toward the Winthrop goal. Busha was able to corral the ball and the senior forward scored her third goal of the year to give the Bulldogs the dramatic win.
Asheville returns home to host defending Big South Conference champion High Point Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
