Women's Soccer Hosts ETSU in Season-Opener on Sunday

The Bulldogs went an uncharacteristic 4-14 last year as injuries from start to finish slowed UNC Asheville down. Prior to last season, the Bulldog program had celebrated five straight winning seasons, four trips to the Big South title game, two Big South Conference regular-season titles and one trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Michele Cornish, the winningest coach in Big South Conference history, is looking for her 2008 team to get back to their winning ways.
“Last year was a tough one to go through,” stated Cornish. “We had some injuries but we simply could never get untracked. We're looking forward to doing much better this season.”
The Bulldogs played one exhibition game and that was last Saturday at Mars Hill.
