Women's Tennis Falls to Winthrop

ASHEVILLE, N.C. ? Big South power Winthrop won all six singles matches and the doubles point en route to a 7-0 women's tennis victory over homestanding UNC Asheville Sunday afternoon.

The Bulldog doubles teams of Louise Bottomley and Nicole Schon won their match by an 8-6 score but the Lady Eagles were able to get victories at the first and third flights to earn the doubles point.

UNC Asheville plays again Tuesday afternoon against High Point starting at 1:30 p.m.
