Men's Tennis Falls to High Point at Big South Tournament

Rock Hill, S.C. ? The second seeded High Point Panthers downed No. 7 seed UNC Asheville, 4-0 in the second match of the day of the first round of the 2008 Big South Men's Tennis Championship.
High Point captured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. Julien Antraygues and Jim Trussler defeated Tyler Begg and Nathan White, 8-4, while teammates Marc Laslaz and Henri Mangin topped Nicholas Thuell and Damien Snare, 9-7.
Winning the doubles point put the Panthers on track to sweep the Bulldogs, as Charles Bottoni downed Mauricio Correa, 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 1 flight singles and Laslaz triumphed over Snare, 6-1, 6-2. Maxime Dutois closed out the match with a win at No. 5, defeating Thuell, 6-1, 6-0.
