Men's Tennis Loses to MEAC Powerhouse South Carolina State `

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Defending MEAC champion South Carolina State was able to win all six singles matches and picked up the doubles point to down UNC Asheville, 7-0 in men's college tennis action at the Asheville Racquet Club Sunday night.

S.C. State has won six of the last seven MEAC tites and improved its record to 2-0 on the season. Asheville dropped to 0-2.

The Bulldogs did get a win in doubles as the #2 team of Joe May and Nathan White knocked off Rudock Langer and Tomas Dubrotka, 9-7.

"South Carolina State is a very good team and they outplayed us on Sunday," stated UNC Asheville coach Lise Gregory. "We competed but they have a veteran team and that showed during the match. Our guys continue to work hard to get better and we will."
