BUIES CREEK, N.C.?Ana Baker scored 19 points and Lindsey Thompson scored a season-high 11 points but UNC Asheville could not survive a first-half three-point barrage and fell 65-53 at Campbell on Thursday night.

Campbell (5-3) a team that went 0-18 from three-point range in their last game went 7-for-13 from long distance in the first half. Lynisha Ochogu hit a career-high four three-pointers in the game and finished with a team-high 15 points to lead the Camels who are 4-0 at home this season.

Asheville (3-7) drops to 0-3 on the road this year. Trailing 56-36 with 7:54 left in the game, the Dogs mounted a frantic comeback. Baker hit three three-pointers and Thompson hit two threes over the next six minutes to pull key a 17-4 run. Baker's last three-pointer pulled the Dogs to within 60-53 with 1:37 left to play.

Campbell missed three of four free throws on its next two possessions but the Dogs missed their final three shots and had a turnover in their final four possessions. A pair of free throws by Lauren Arthur with 49 seconds left and a lay-up by Ashley Williamson with 31 seconds left provided the final margin.

For the game, Campbell went 8-for-16 from three-point range while Asheville was 7-for-26 (27 percent) from beyond the arc. Overall the Camels shot 43.6 percent from the floor to while the Dogs shot 28.3 percent.

Asheville held a 43-41 rebounding advantage marking the first time this season Campbell has been out-rebounded in a game. The Camels came into Thursday's action out-rebounding opponents by 12 boards per game. The Dogs committed 19 turnovers to 17 for the Camels.

The Bulldogs will take time off for the Holidays before returning to action in the Terrapin Classic hosted by the University of Maryland on Dec. 29-30. Asheville will play Maryland in its first game on Dec. 29 and either Mississippi State or Marshall on Dec. 30.
