HIGH POINT, N.C. ? UNC Asheville senior forward Robyn Busha earned a spot on the Big South All-Conference's first team for the 2008 season. The announcement was made Wednesday night at the league's annual awards banquet.

Busha made the first team after leading Asheville in goals scored this year with seven. She scored five of those goals in league play and two of those goals were game-winners. The Michigan native scored twice on Saturday in a 3-2 loss to Radford. It marked the fourth straight year that she has been named to an all-league team. She made the first team as a freshman and made second team in her sophomore and junior years.

Making second team all-conference was Asheville native McKenna Stockhausen. The junior midfielder was the Bulldogs second leading scorer with four goals and five assists for 13 points. She was named Big South Player of the Week in September when she scored two goals and had two assists in a 4-1 victory over Presbyterian.

Freshman defender Mary Kate Tucker made the Big South All-Rookie team. Tucker has played both as a forward and as a defender this year and has played in all 17 games. She has tallied one goal.

Senior Juliana Duncan was named to the league's all-academic team. She has a 3.66 GPA and is majoring in chemistry.

UNC Asheville opens play in the 2008 Big South Conference Tournament on Thursday afternoon when the seventh-seeded Bulldogs battle second-seeded Radford at 1:30 p.m.
