ASHEVILLE, N.C. ? The UNC Asheville women's soccer team finishes the regular season at home on Saturday when the Bulldogs host Big South Conference rival Radford at Greenwood Field. The match will start at approximately 1 p.m. as the men's soccer team plays Wofford before the women's match. Admission is free. UNC Asheville will honor five Bulldogs playing in their final home match.

The five players honored will be Robyn Busha, Amelia Davis, Juliana Duncan, Katie Lilley and Sara Marie Holland.

UNC Asheville (5-11-0, 3-5-0 BSC) is looking to end a frustrating four-game losing streak. The Bulldogs will be tested by a strong Radford squad that has one of the more unusual overall records. The Highlanders have lost just one this season and have earned six ties. RU has a 9-1-6 overall record and 3-1-4 mark in league play. Radford last four matches have gone to overtime. The first three ended in a tie before the Highlanders won at Winthrop in double overtime, 2-1 on Wednesday.

Asheville lost a frustrating 3-0 decision to Charleston Southern last Saturday afternoon.

“We need to get some offense going,” commented Bulldog coach Michele Cornish. “We've had a lot of shots in the last two matches but haven't scored. When we have chances, we need to put the ball in the back of the net.”

Robyn Busha leads Asheville in goals scored with five. Junior McKenna Stockhausen tops the club in points with four goals and five assists for 13 points.

The Bulldogs received some good news on the academic front on Thursday when senior Juliana Duncan was named to ESPN The Magazine's third team All-District academic team. She has a 3.66 average and is majoring in chemistry.
