Women's Soccer Falls at CSU, 3-0

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern got goals from three different players as the Lady Bucs broke open a close game with two goals in the second half to record a 3-0 victory over visiting UNC Asheville Saturday afternoon at CSU Field.
The loss dropped the Bulldogs to a 5-10-1 overall record and 3-5-0 in Big South Conference play. Charleston Southern improved to 9-4-1 overall and 4-1-3 in league play.
Junior goalkeeper Veronica Lazar made fives saves for Asheville. Meagan Bradham had three shots for Asheville. CSU held a slight 14-12 advantage in shots.
Emma Matson from Charleston Southern opened the scoring in the 22nd minute on a tap-in. The Lady Bucs led 1-0 at hafltime.
Michele Dennis scored for CSU at 57:37 to push the lead to 2-0. A goal from Caitlin Wineskey in the 67th minute sealed the win for the Lady Bucs.
UNC Asheville plays its final home match of the year on Saturday (Nov. 1) when the Bulldogs host Radford at Greenwood Field starting at 1 p.m.
