Bulldog Seniors Receive Diplomas on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C.-- The UNC Asheville Athletics Department was proud to have 19 of its student-athletes graduate Saturday morning at the school's 79th annual Commencement Ceremony. The 19 student-athletes were part of the 582 graduates that made up the Class of 2007.
Leading the way was the baseball team with five earning their sheepskin. They included Steve Burnich, Nate Durham, Curtis Glover, David Williams and Rob Vernon.
The women's basketball team, women's soccer team and volleyball team all had three graduates each. Women's basketball had Katie Baldwin, Amanda Elder and Leslie Young. The volleyball team graduated Krysti Havens, Talia Ogle and Elif Unlu. Joining the graduates was volleyball assistant Fred Santos who also earned his degree on Saturday. Women's soccer included Ashleigh Carter, Sara Pahl and Hilary McKay.
The men's soccer team graduated Barrett Locke and Andrew Klerekoper. Track and Field graduated Root Kirbach and Sara Davis. The men's basketball team graduated Joey Harrell.
