ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville's women's basketball team hit the town on Saturday, April 21. Players and staff helped build a house for Habitat for Humanity while other members helped out with Special Olympics at the Asheville School.

The Big South Champions have built two Habitat Houses in the last three years. Amanda Elder, Katie Baldwin, Brittany Hendley, Tasha Branch, Kiana Rainey, Rachel Williams along with head coach Betsy Blose and assistant coach Summer Erb worked on the house on Saturday.

During the afternoon, assistant coach Adell Harris along with Jessica Monroe, Kyla Jones, Ashton Barton, Stacy Shepard, Leslie Young, and Ana Baker served as officials for Special Olympics who hosted a field day.
