ROCK HILL, S.C. - Winthrop University's women's tennis team claimed the Big South regular season title with a 7-0 victory over UNC Asheville on Saturday.
The Lady Eagles finish with a perfect 7-0 conference record while Asheville dropped to 0-7. The two teams will met again in the first round of the Big South Tournament on April 19, in Radford, Va.
