CHARLESTON, S.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team came close to winning the doubles point but could't overcome Charleston Southern's depth as the Lady Buccaneers downed the Bulldogs, 7-0 in Big South Conference women's tennis action at the David Shelton Center Tuesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs number one doubles team of Rachel Rhoney and Louise Bottomley won their match, 8-4. However, CSU won the other two matches to claim the doubles' point. The Lady Bucs were able to take all six singles matches.
UNC Asheville plays again Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. when the Bulldogs battle league foe Coastal Carolina.
