HIGH POINT, N.C. - The High Point University women's tennis team downed UNC Asheville, 6-1 on Friday evening at the HPU Tennis Complex.
The Bulldogs lone point came from the great play of top-seeded freshman Leslie Smith. She lost the first set to Suzanne Celensu, 6-7 but roared back to win 6-1, 6-2.
UNC Asheville plays next at Gardner-Webb Wednesday at 3 p.m.
