Women's Soccer Hosts Mars Hill in Exhibition Match - UNC Asheville Bulldogs Official Athletics Site

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's soccer team will play its first exhibition game Wednesday afternoon against Mars Hill at Greenwood Field starting at 4 p.m. Admission is free to the exhibition match.

The Bulldogs have won two straight Big South Conference regular-season titles and trying to become the first team in more than five years in league history to win three straight titles. UNC Asheville finished with a 13-6-0 overall record last season, while Mars Hill finished with a 12-8-1 overall record last season.

"We haven't practiced much but it will be good to play a match," stated UNC Asheville coach Michele Cornish. "Mars Hill had a very good season last year and should provide an excellent test tomorrow."

The Bulldogs play their second exhibition game at Gardner-Webb Saturday afternoon (Aug. 19) at 2 p.m. UNC Asheville opens the season at Campbell on Aug. 31. The Bulldogs first home game is with Austin Peay on Sept. 3 starting at 4 p.m
