HIGH POINT, N.C. - .- Three High Point pitchers combined on a one-hit shutout to lead the Panthers past UNC Asheville 2-0 in the rubber game of a three-game Big South series Monday afternoon.
Steve Burnich had a lead-off double in the top of the sixth inning to account for the Bulldogs (16-24, 5-10 Big South) only hit. Burnich moved to third with one out but Kevin Mattison lined out to first and Rob Vernon grounded out to shortstop to spoil Asheville's best chance to score.

Alfie Wheeler singled off shortstop Matt Henson's glove to put the Panthers up 1-0.
Holtzman added a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh to account for all of the scoring in the game. Bogaert went seven innings giving up two runs on five hits as he dropped his third straight decision. Jordan Dorsett and Ben Buchanan combined for one inning of scoreless relief.
