Asheville native Danielle Deines begins her first year as an assistant coach with the UNC Asheville cross country and track and field program.

"I'm delighted to have Danielle join our program," stated first year coach Jesse Norman. "She is someone who will be a big asset to our student-athletes and to me."

This is Danielle's second time with UNC Asheville as she competed for the Bulldog cross country and track field program during the 2001-02 academic year.

She finished up at Brevard College and enjoyed a great deal of success. Deines qualified for NAIA nationals in three different sports while at Brevard. She was a 2004 & 2005 Daktronics NAIA Women's Cross Country All-America Scholar Athlete and 2006 Daktronics NAIA Women's Outdoor Track All-America Scholar qualifier.

Danielle achieved a USATF Level II Endurance Coaching Certification in December of 2003 in Colorado Springs, CO.
