Overview: One of UNC Asheville's hardest workers...will play the forward position for the Bulldogs...has the versatility to do a lot of things inside...will be a strong rebounder and defender...really came on during her freshman season at the end of the year...will compete for starting job inside as a sophomore...last name is pronounced Augburns.
2008-2009: Started in 12 games, including the final nine of the season...averaged 6.7 points per game and led team in rebounding with a 6.4 mark...first career double-double came at High Point (1-26) with 10 points and 15 rebounds...exploded for career-high in points with 20 in home win over Charleston Southern (2-7)...also grabbed 10 rebounds in that game...ended her freshman year on a high note with 18 points and nine rebounds in near upset of High Point in Big South Tournament (3-14)...tallied 10 points and collected nine rebounds at Radford (3-2)...scored 11 points at ACC champion Maryland (12-29).
Before UNC Asheville: Helped lead Westover to 4-A state championship as a senior...averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds and four steals per game as her team finished with a 30-2 overall record...her rebounding average led all of Cumberland County and Fayetteville...earned all-conference and all-region honors last year...was a McDonald’s All-American nominee...lettered in track and field and cross country...played AAU.
