Overview: Came to UNC Asheville as a baseball player before transferring to track and field and enjoying an excellent career as a throw…leaves Asheville as the school’s all-time leader in the hammer throw…excellent student who earned Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year for Indoor Track senior year.
2014 Outdoor: Sensational year that saw him just miss out on qualifying for a regional in the hammer throw…had a great year in not just the hammer throw but the discus…season-high in the hammer throw came at 49er Classic with impressive throw of 56.05 meters, while finishing in third place against great competition…won the hammer throw and the discus at Western Carolina (4-12)…had a mark of 55.84 meters in the hammer and 46.93 meters in the discus at WCU…earned a podium finish in the discus at Big South Championships (4-18) with third-place spot as he had toss of 46.12 meters…came in seventh at Big South (4-17) in hammer throw with mark of 54.76 meters…had fifth-place finish at 49er Classic (3-20) with mark of 45.58 meters.
2013-14 Indoor: Competed in both the shot put and weight throw in senior campaign…took third place at the JDL Fast Track Invitational (12-7) in weight throw with mark of 17.59 meters…posted mark of 13.73 meters in shot put at UNC (1-25) and took fourth place…finished eighth at Big South Championships (2-28) in weight throw with throw of 16.73 meters…was sixth in shot put at UCS (2-14) Invitational as he registered mark of 13.50 meters…came in seventh in weight throw in same meet with 16.66 meters.
2013 Outdoor: Participated in discus, hammer throw and shot put during his junior season…placed third in the hammer throw at Big South Championships (4-18) with mark of 56.05 meters…took eighth in the discus at Big South (4-19) as he generated throw of 43.13 meters…top throw of the year in hammer throw came at came at Clemson Twilight (5-7) with toss of 56.53 meters as he finished fourth…took second at Duke Invitational (4-5) in hammer throw of 56.19 meters…came is third in hammer throw at 49er Classic (3-14) with toss of 56.32 meters…top shut put mark was 13.04 meters at Big South Championships (4-19).
2012-13 Indoor: Finished fifth in the weight throw at Big South Championship with throw of 16.95 meters (2-21)…top mark in the shot put came at Clemson (2-8) with throw of 12.97 meters.
2012 Outdoor: Came in fifth at Big South Championships (4-19) in hammer throw with mark of 52.37 meters…finished fourth at Western Carolina in hammer throw with mark of 54.47 meters (3-24)…top throw in the discus came at Winthrop Twilight at 45.61 meters (5-4).
2011-12 Indoor: Top throw of the year in weight throw came at Big South Championships (2-24) with season-best mark of 15.50 meters…registered a throw of 12.12 meters in the shot put at ASU Open (12-2).
2011 Outdoor: Participated in three different field events as a freshman…registered mark of 44.39 meters at 49er Classic in discus (3-17)…top hammer throw, also came at 49er Classic (3-18) with mark of 44.34 meters…produced a season-best mark of 11.17 meters in shot put at Western Carolina (3-26).
2010-11 Indoor: Season-best mark of 13.32 meters came at UNC (1-29) in the weight throw…registered mark of 10.89 meters in the shot put at ASU Open (12-3).
Before UNC Asheville: Went to Rancho Buena Vista HS in California…enjoyed a standout baseball career as a pitcher.
