Overview: Talented distance runner who as a freshman in 2013 helped win Big South Conference title in the 4,000 Distance Medley Relay at Indoor Championships…versatile runner who can compete at various events along with different relay teams.
2016 Outdoor: In her final Outdoor season with the Bulldogs, Rubino leads the Bulldogs in both the 800m and the 1500m. In the 800m, she sits in seventh place in the league with a time of 2:14.36 going into the Conference Championships, only fractions ahead of her teammate Alyssa Lashway in eighth. In the 1500, she is sixth in the Big South with a time of 4:37.00. Rubinio is also a regular member of the 4x400m Relay for the Bulldogs.
2015-16 Indoor: As a senior Indoors, Rubino competed in the 800m, mile, 4x400m Relay and the Distance Medley Relay. Rubino ran the anchor leg (1600m) of the All-Conference Distance Medley relay that placed second with a time of 12:04.83. That time also give the quartet the Asheville program record. She also scored points in the women’s mile finals, placing seventh with a time of 5:03.71.
2015 Outdoor: Rubino progressed into a strong Outdoor season... focus remaining in the 800 meters and the 1500 meters...season best of 2:16.25 in the 800 meters at the Georgia Tech Invitational (4-17-15)...and 4:39.58 in the 1500 meters at the Big South Outdoor Championships
2014-15 Indoor: Returning for a junior year of Indoor track running primarily as a mid-diatance runner... strong season overall competing in the Big South Indoor Championship...running season best of 2:19.07 in the 800 meters at the Chipotle Marshall Invitational (2-13-15)... and 5:05.94 in the mile at Big South Indoor Championships.
2014 Outdoor: Enjoyed a solid meet at High Point with two season-best times in the 800 and 1,500 meters…posted a time of 2:19.60 in the 800 (4-4) and 4:43.59 in the 1,500 (4-4)…ran the 1,500 meters at 49er Classic and had a mark of 18:19.36…ran in 4x400 relay and helped register time of 4:01.84 at High Point (4-4).
2013-14 Indoor: Earned points for the Bulldogs at Big South Championship meet with seventh-place finish in the 800 meters with time of 2:17.01 (2-28)…registered a time of 5:04.81 in the mile at USC Upstate Invitational (2-14)…had a season-best mark of 10:46.18 in the 3,000 meters at JDL Kickoff Classic (12-7-13).
2013 Outdoor: Top time in the 800 meters came at Duke Invitational (4-5) with mark of 2:20.17…posted time of 4:48.91 in the 1,500 meters at 49er Classic (3-14).
2012-13 Indoor: Helped 4,000 Distance Medley Relay team win Big South Conference championship and set school and league record with time of 12:05.85(2-21)…top mark in 800 meters came at Kentucky (1-25)…registered season-best in the mile and 5,000 meters at Big South Meet (2-21) with time of 5:13.74 in the mile and mark of 18:47.35 in 5,000.
Overview: Ran for Lake Norman HS in Mooresville…placed sixth in the 800 meters at the 4-A West Regional Meet.
