2017-18: Closed out sophomore campaign averaging 7.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game ... Baehre's 1.8 blocks per game was third-best in the Big South ... He finished the season with three double-doubles ... Baehre was particularly strong in the national spotlight with the sophomore finishing with a career-best 28 points and 14 rebounds in UNC Asheville's narrow 103-98 double overtime loss to Southern California (3/13) in the NIT ... In UNC Asheville's Big South title-clinching home win over Winthrop (2/22), Baehre had 16 points and 13 rebounds ... Baehre also had 13 points and 10 rebounds in UNC Asheville's home win over Milligan (12/10) ... Baehre scored in double figures 10 times for UNC Asheville over the course of the season ... Before UNC Asheville: Grew up and played in Hessen, Germany, before moving to Georgia and playing his senior high school season at Wilkinson County High School in Irwinton, Ga. ... A GHSA Division A State Champion, Baehre was named Co-MVP of the championship game ... Was named to the All-State team in Hessen, Germany in 2013 ... Received an invitation to the U18 German National team tryouts in 2013.
