Overview: Freshman distance runner from Franklin Academy in Wake Forest, N.C...talented artist.
2015: In her Junior season Banks beat her personal best in the 5k by about a minute by posting a time of 19:54.8 at the Royals XC Challenge. She had another personal best in the 2K with a time of 11:46.7 putting her in first place at the WCU Fast Cat Invitational.
2014: Coming back for UNC Asheville Bulldogs as a sophomore Marissa had a successful cross-country season…racing every race this year…Her best race was Upstate Invitational (10-4) where she ran a personal best of 20:15.50 for a 5k. Later in the season she ran at the Big South Conference Championships (11-1) running 21:12.19 (5k).
2013: Top time came at UNC Asheville Cross Country Carnival as she posted a time of 22:21 (9-14) in the 5K event.
Before UNC Asheville: Finished 14th in state cross county meet as a senior and helped lead school to sixth-place finish...also competed in track and field for Franklin Academy
