2023-24 Season (Senior) - In his second season as a Bulldog, McMullen played in all 34 games and made 24 starts…He scored 337 points, grabbed 196 rebounds, had 29 steals and 15 blocks…Matched his career-high 20 points in Asheville’s win over Presbyterian on Jan. 6…Had a season-high of 37 minutes played against WKU on Nov. 26…Grabbed a career-high 14 boards against UAB on Dec. 29…Closed out the 2023 calendar year with three triple-doubles, first against App. State (12 rebounds/12 points), second against Kennesaw State (11 boards/19 points) and lastly against UAB (14 boards/14 points).
2022-23 Season (Junior) - McMullen played in all 35 games for Asheville in 2022-23 after transferring from Murray State...He scored 281 points, grabbed 202 rebounds, and blocked 18 shots in his first season in a Bulldog uniform...His top outing of the season came on December 13 at South Carolina State where he scored 20 points to go along with 10 rebounds...Also posted back-to-back double-doubles against Charleston Southern and Longwood in late February...Nearly picked up a double-double in the NCAA Tournament vs. UCLA where he finished with eight points and 10 rebounds....Shot 55.9 percent from the field on the season.
Prior to UNC Asheville - Hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, McMullen spent his first two collegiate seasons competing for Ohio Valley Conference-power Murray State...During his COVID-shortened freshman year (2020-21), McMullen appeared in 22 games, starting the final three contests of the season...McMullen shot 46.7 percent from the floor, registering career highs in points against Greenville (16) and rebounds against Jacksonville State (7)...This past year, McMullen appeared in all 34 games, averaging 10 minutes per game and grabbing 99 rebounds for a Racer squad that went 31-3, won the Ohio Valley Conference and advanced to the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament...As a senior at Ben L. Smith High School, the forward averaged 15.5 points and 9.9 rebounds per game, earning All-Piedmont Triad 3A Conference honors and 3A All-State First Team recognition.
