Harrison Cooper Earns Third Big South Conference Freshman of the Week Honor

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Harrison Cooper of UNC Asheville Men's Tennis has earned his third Big South Conference Freshman of the Week honor, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Apr. 14).
 
Asheville ended its regular season with a tough 4-3 loss to UNC Greensboro on Apr. 7 and a 6-1 loss at Presbyterian on Saturday (Apr. 11). In those matches, Cooper went 2-0 in singles play at No. 5 with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 win against UNC Greensboro and a 6-3, 6-2 win against Presbyterian.
 
This is Cooper's third career Freshman of the Week honor. The Derby, Great Britain native is an economics major.
 
The Bulldogs (11-9, 0-3 Big South) return to action on Thursday (Apr. 16) as the No. 5 seed in the Big South Conference Championships, facing No. 4 seed Presbyterian. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. from the Lexington County Tennis Complex in Lexington, S.C. with live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
