Kucerová Earns Big South Women’s Co-Track Athlete of the Week Honor

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Aneta Kucerová has been named the Big South Co-Women's Track Athlete of the Week following an impressive record-breaking performance at the Raleigh Relays on Friday (Mar. 27). The conference officially made the announcement Wednesday (April 1).
Kucerová ran the fifth-fastest 3,000m Steeplechase in Big South history, breaking a 13 year school-record in the process with her time of 10:18.87 at the Raleigh Relays. She placed 17th overall among the 69 competitors in the race, and her performance ranks 15th in the nation.
Kucerová is the first female to earn outdoor track athlete of the week honors for UNC Asheville since 2013.
The Bulldogs will return to action at home on the Karl Straus Track April 10-11 for the Asheville Bulldog Invite.
