ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis dropped its Big South Conference opener to visiting Longwood by a score of 5-2.
 
Longwood won two out of three doubles matches to secure the doubles point, while winning four out of six singles matches to take the win.
 
Danile Franco-Key picked up a 6-3, 6-7 (2-7), 10-7 win at No. 3 over Rufus Plane, while Harrison Cooper beat Petter Lindquist 6-4, 7-5 at No. 5 for Asheville's wins in the match.
