Men's Tennis Picked Fourth in the Big South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis was picked fourth in the 2026 Big South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced by the league today (Thursday, Jan. 15).
 
Asheville returns Second Team All-Conference selection Cian Ingles, along with Trevor Gray, Griffin Lovern and Luke Ruecker. The Bulldogs also add Harrison Cooper, Daniel Franco-Key, Martin Fuks and Jip Mens to the mix.  
 
Longwood topped the poll with 16 points and four first-place votes, while defending league champion Gardner-Webb was picked second with 11 points. Presbyterian was tabbed third with eight points, while Asheville rounded out the poll with five points. League newcomers Bryant and NJIT are not eligible for the 2026 preseason poll due to not playing a full league schedule this year.
 
The Bulldogs open the 2026 season on Jan. 31 against Young Harris. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. from Asheville School.
