Divers Turn in Solid Performance at Georgia Southern on Saturday

STATESBORO, Ga. - UNC Asheville's divers turned in a solid performance on the second day of competition at Georgia Southern on Saturday (Jan. 10).
Leigha Travis paced the Bulldogs in the prelim round of the 1M with a score of 220.00, while Hailey Fein turned in a mark of 197.40. Eleanor Pichetto also posted a score of 166.10 in the round. Travis would go on to post a personal-best 246.15 in the finals, while Fein posted a score of 229.10 and Pichetto finished with a mark of 201.05.
"It was a great showing for the divers!" said diving coach Bailey Betzer. We saw multiple personal bests, and a school record went down! I'm so proud of these girls!"
The Bulldogs (4-1, 2-0 ASUN) are back in action next weekend (Jan. 16-17) hosting Liberty for Senior Day. Diving will take place at the Asheville Jewish Community Center at 3:00 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 16), before the swimmers will start at 6:30 p.m. that night at the Justice Center Pool. Swimming will take place on Saturday (Jan. 17) at 11:30 a.m. with the Senior Day festivities taking place prior to the start of the meet.
