CHARLOTTE, N.C. -Â UNC Asheville forward Arnor Hardarson has been named the Big South Conference Co-Freshman of the Week, announced by the league today (Monday, Sept. 8).

Asheville posted a 3-1 win over Bellarmine in their only match of the week last Saturday (Sept. 6), with two goals from Hardarson in the second half giving the Bulldogs the lead and then securing the victory. The two goals were the first two of his career.

This is Hardarson's first career weekly honor. He is a native of Kopavogur, Iceland.

The Bulldogs (3-1-0) return to action on Tuesday (Sept. 9) at Wofford. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. from Spartanburg, S.C. with live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com. Â
