Michelle Thao Named Libero of the Week

BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE RELEASE
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Following her performance in Asheville's Big South Conference opener against USC Upstate, Michelle Thao has been named the league's Libero of the Week. The announcement was made on Monday (Sept. 29).
Thao led Asheville's defense with 29 digs while also recording a season-high eight assists. Asheville's back row defense, led by Thao, proved a key factor in Asheville's five-set victory over USC Upstate as the Bulldogs recorded 11 aces compared to Upstate's two.
Thao tallied her second-most digs of the season, and fifth overall 20-dig effort of the year. Thao is currently No. 3 in the league with 223 digs, averaging 4.55 a set.
This is Thao's second Libero of the Week honor of her career and the first this season.
The Bulldogs return to action this weekend (Oct. 3 & 4). They welcome Charleston Southern to town on Friday (6 p.m.) and Presbyterian on Saturday (2 p.m.).
