Bryce Roddey Joins UNC Asheville Baseball Staff

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Bryce Roddey has joined the UNC Asheville Baseball coaching staff as an assistant coach, announced today (Thursday, Aug. 21) by interim head coach Alex Raburn.

Roddey was a four-year player at Division II North Greenville where he hit .340 for his career and had two seasons where he hit over .350. As a second baseman for the Crusaders, he was a Second Team All-Conference Carolinas selection as well as an All-Region selection. Roddey played in a pair of NCAA Division II World Series tournaments, being a part of the 2022 national championship team. He also played for the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod League.

"We are excited to welcome Bryce Roddey to UNC Asheville Baseball," said Raburn. "Bryce is extremely hard-working, loyal, and passionate about the game. His championship background and playing experiences will serve our players well, and I know he will bring a relentless energy and commitment to our program. I couldn't be happier that he chose to be in Asheville."

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to join the coaching staff at UNC Asheville and to work alongside and learn from Coach Raburn," said Roddey. "I'm looking forward to giving my all to the program and helping our players develop and compete at a high level. The city of Asheville is a great place to be and a great place to win at. It's an exciting time for Bulldogs baseball, and I'm proud to be a part of it."

Roddey holds a bachelor's degree in business management from North Greenville (2025).
