Tarek Erlewein Named Big South Conference Player of the Week

FULL BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE RELEASE
 
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis senior Tarek Erlewein has been named the Big South Conference Player of the Week, announced by the league today (Wednesday, Apr. 9).
 
Asheville moved its record to 10-7 and 1-1 in the Big South Conference after a 4-3 win over Presbyterian on Thursday (Apr. 3).
 
Erlewein teamed up with Olle Sonesson Lidholt for a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles in the match, before winning 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 on his Senior Day.
 
This is Erlewein's first career Player of the Week honor. The Stuhr, Germany native is a double major in business and economics.
 
The Bulldogs (10-8, 1-1 Big South Conference) return to action on Friday (Apr. 11) to wrap up the regular season facing Longwood. First serve is set for 10:30 a.m. from Farmville, Va.
