Toyaz Solomon Earns Big South Player of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Toyaz Solomon has been named the Big South Player of the Week following his performance this past week against Tennessee State at App State. The announcement was made by the league office on Monday, Dec. 1.
Last week, Solomon averaged 23.0 points per game and shot 16-for-27 from the field (.593). Solomon led the team with 17 rebounds (8.5 per game) and added three assists, a block, and a steal to his stat line.
Solomon reached a new career-high against App State, as he scored 25 points after shooting .500 from the field and going 9-of-11 from the free throw line.
This is Solomon's second Big South Weekly honor of his career.
Solomon and the Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow (Dec. 2), as Asheville returns to the Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville, to face UNC Greensboro at 7 p.m. The first 500 fans will receive free entry into the game.
